...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST
WEDNESDAY ABOVE 2000 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet.
* WHERE...Cascade Mountains, including the Mount Baker Ski Area,
Stevens, Snoqualmie, and White Passes, and Paradise in Mount
Rainier National Park. The snow level will be around 2000 feet.
* WHEN...From Tuesday morning through early Wednesday morning. The
period of heaviest snowfall will be Tuesday afternoon and
evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant reductions in visibility are
possible. Plan on difficult travel conditions.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are

THE NORTHWEST AVALANCHE CENTER HAS ISSUED AN AVALANCHE WARNING...
TIMING... IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM TUESDAY JANUARY 23RD.
LOCATION... WEST SLOPES OF THE WASHINGTON CASCADES INCLUDING
SNOQUALMIE AND WHITE PASSES.
AVALANCHE DANGER... THE AVALANCHE DANGER FOR THE WARNING AREA WILL
RISE TO HIGH TUESDAY.
REASON/IMPACTS... RECENT AND FORECASTED MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW
COMBINED WITH WINDS WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD AVALANCHES.

CONDITIONS. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
